LEADER OF “OUR PARTY” - THE RICHEST MOLDOVAN POLITICIAN, ACCORDING TO HIS INCOME DECLARATION

The chairman of “Our Party” Renato Usatii is the richest Moldovan politician. As INFOTAG reports, this is evidenced by his income declaration for 2023.

According to the adopted amendments to the legislation, not only civil servants, officials, law enforcement officers, but also chairmen of political parties and members of the governing bodies of formations should submit income declarations.

Renato Usatii declared 18 land plots, 15 real estate objects (houses, apartments, garages, warehouses) in Moldova and abroad. Also, he owns a Mercedes car produced in 2020 (worth 1.2 million lei), a Land Rover Defender car produced in 2022 (worth 1.9 million euros), as well as a water scooter oproduced in 2021 (worth almost 500 thousand lei). In addition, the politician owns an Avant mini-loader of 2020 year of manufacture, which is rented out for construction works in Balti. He also declared income from the rental of movable and immovable property.

Usatii also declared that he has 16 current bank accounts in Moldova and Russia. At the same time, some of his accounts have one dollar or one euro. In total, he has deposits worth 470 thousand lei, from which he received dividends of about 700 lei.

The leader of “Our Party” also declared three pairs of Breguet watches. Two pairs of watches, priced at 30 thousand and 70 thousand euros, respectively, he bought, while another watch of the same brand, worth 150 thousand euros, was given to him as a gift.

He also claimed to have received a donation of two million euros from a non-resident person. When asked by reporters, he said he would not name the donor as he is no longer alive.

“He is a friend of mine and unfortunately, last summer, after making a donation to myself, he passed away. He's a former business partner, his name won't tell you anything. I didn't want to accept that money, but he was sick and he told me, 'I'm going anyway.' Of that money, I spent 20 thousand euros,” said Usatii.

He confirmed that he receives a salary as party leader. Last year it amounted to 593.2 thousand lei.

“All the money received as salary is donated to charity. Usatii does not use this money for personal purposes. In “Our Party” all leaders receive a salary. It can amount to 20 thousand lei per month,” the politician said.

As expenses, he mentioned spending 17 thousand euros on vacations, 19 thousand euros on medical services and 120 thousand lei on renting real estate.
