THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF THE FOOTBALL FEDERATION HAS APPROVED THE SCHEME OF DISTRIBUTION OF SOLIDARITY PAYMENTS - 1.2 MLN. EURO

The Executive Committee of the Moldovan Football Federation (FMF) has approved the scheme of distribution of solidarity payments - 1.2 million euros each, received from UEFA on the results of three European Cup tournaments of the season 2022-2023.

These funds will be used, among other things, for the development of soccer in Moldova. Seven Super League clubs that did not participate in the UEFA Champions League (Petrocub, Zimbru, Milsami, Dacia Buiucani, Balti, Floresti, Spartanii Sportul) will receive 32.9 thousand euros each. In total - 230.4 thousand euros.

The remaining 748,8 thousand euros will be distributed to 90 soccer schools of clubs participating in the Moldovan championship among children and youths and to 13 clubs (schools), participants of the FMF - Noi project. The amount of payments depends on the category of schools and their participation in a particular championship. The Zimbru and Buiucani soccer academies will receive 40,000 euros each, the Balti academy - 38,000 euros, the Radu Rebeja academy - 34,000 euros, FC Oguzsport (Comrat) - 31,000 euros.

In the new cycle of club tournaments (2024-2027), UEFA expects to almost double the share of the total revenue distributed to teams not participating in the three European Cup tournaments. According to a memorandum of understanding with the Association of European Clubs, 30% of the net income will be up to €35 million.
