SOPRANO TATIANA HAJZUSOVA AND PIANIST JULIA GREJTAKOVA FROM SLOVAKIA TO PERFORM AT EUROPE DAY IN CHISINAU

The Embassy of Slovakia in Moldova has invited opera soprano Tatiana Hajzusova and Slovakian pianist Julia Grejtakova to celebrate "Europe Day" in Chisinau on May 9. They will take part in a festive concert on the Great National Assembly Square.

On Friday, May 10, the soprano and pianist, famous in Slovakia and far beyond its borders, will give a master class at the Academy of Music, Theater and Fine Arts of Moldova.

Lyric soprano Tatiana Hajzusova is 26 years old. She is one of the most talented young singers in Slovakia. She was chosen to make her debut at the Elbe Philharmonic in Hamburg, as the winner of the "III International Debut Music Competition".

Pianist Julia Grejtakova was born, lives and works in Kosice. She studied at the local conservatory. Since 1990 she has been working at the Conservatory as a teacher-concertmaster of the singing department. In 2003 she won an audition for the position of principal concertmaster of the State Opera in Kosice.

The pianist gives educational concerts for young people and is the author of concert projects - "Bridges of Europe", Czech-Slovak opera "Hope". In November 2011, Grejtakova became principal concertmaster of the Musica Sacra world competition held annually in Rome.
