5TH INTERNATIONAL COLLOQUIUM OF FRANCOPOLIPHONIA HELD IN CHISINAU
The 5th International Colloquium of Francopoliphonia is taking place at the Free University of Moldova (ULIM) in the frame of the International Days of Francophonia. The colloquium was organized by the Institute of Philological and Inter-cultural Studies of the ULIM.
INITIATIVE GROUP PROPOSES TO CONDUCT REFERENDUM ON COMPULSORY TEACHING OF FUNDAMENTALS OF THE ORTHODOXY
The initiative group of teachers and priests has worked out the Bill on the compulsory teaching of the subject “The Fundamentals of the Orthodoxy in the Pre-University Education System of the Republic of Moldova. It is planned to introduce this subject after the conduct of a republican legislative referendum to be initiated by Moldovan citizens.

CONSTITUTION AMENDMENT WILL OPEN WAY TO POWER FOR COMMUNISTS – LAWYERS
If the current Parliament agrees to amend Article 78 in the Constitution [election of president in parliament] and to hold an early parliamentary election, this will open a door for the Communists’ coming back into power.
