Chisinau. A group of Social Democrats have acceded to the Moldovan Communist Party (MCP), the former Secretary General of the Social Democratic Party, Eduard Musuc, stated during a news conference in Infotag today.

Mrs. Nadezhda Mocanu, the wife of Sergiu Mocanu, the leader of the Popular Action Movement and former Adviser-at-Large to President Vladimir Voronin, believes her husband may be released from custody “only by wonder”. He was arrested in Chisinau last April 8, i.e. on the following day after the memorable riots and pogroms in Chisinau.
