Moldova’s Independent Journalism Center (CIJ) and the Tiraspol Media Center have launched the first-ever joint project in the media sphere, “Strengthening the Moldovan media Capacity to Cover Issues of Public Interest”, to be subsequently joined by the Sofia Development Center of Bulgaria.

The so-called ‘Ghimpu commission’ [the full name of the special body set up by Acting President Mihai Ghimpu’s body is the “International Scientific Commission for Studying the Consequences of the Totalitarian, Dictatorial and Anti-Democratic Regimes in the Republic of Moldova Territory in the 20th Century”] is nothing but a political order, maintains history doctor Piotr Shornikov, an independent expert and a former member of parliament in 1990 through 1998.
