The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) recommended the Moldovan Government to eliminate violations of the law, committed against Andrei Bastovoi and his son Valentin, announced lawyer Roman Zadoinov during Tuesday’s news conference at Infotag.

Twenty deputies of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe are demanding an immediate release from custody of the activists of the Antifa [anti-fascist] organization and Patria Party, ex-Communist MP Grigore Petrenco, who is an incumbent Deputy Chairperson of the Unified European Left group in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, announced at a news conference at Infotag today, and showed a copy of the European parliamentarians’ statement.

If local elections were held in Moldova, one of four Moldovan citizens would not know for which party to give his vote, shows the opinion poll “Vox Populi: 2014 in perception of Moldovan citizens”, conducted by the Association of Sociologists and Demographers on January 8-20 among 1171 respondents from 79 localities. The level of error is of ±3%.

The number of people in Moldovan mental hospitals, who have voted at the November 30 parliamentary elections, went up almost twofold against 2010 elections.
