A group of 20 members of Moldova’s first parliament addressed to citizens with the appeal to support the protest action on September 6.

“Our Home is Moldova” (OHM) party leader Grigore Petrenco qualified the Thursday’s decision by the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) to suspend for 2 months the raising of electricity and natural gas tariffs as “the common victory won by all those who have been protesting last few months against the rule of oligarchs in Moldova”.

The Civil Platform “Demnitate si Adevar” [DA, “Dignity and Justice”] called on Moldovan youth and students to actively participate in the protest action, planned for September 6. During Tuesday’s news conference at Infotag, leaders of the Platform voiced an address which says that “the future belongs to the youth and the way it will look like depends on the way we will build it”. The authors of the statement maintain that only the fight against the current authorities will provide a chance to the young people of Moldova.

Professional organizations of agricultural workers in the face of the National Union of Agricultural Producers' Associations UniAgroProtect and National Farmers’ Federation called on farmers to come to protests, which will be organized by the Civil Platform “Demnitate si Adevar” [DA, “Dignity and Justice”] on September 6.
