DEPUTY PRIME MINISTER DISCUSSES TRANSNISTRIAN ISSUES WITH A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE POLISH SEJM

The Transnistrian settlement process, the activity of the negotiation formats between Chisinau and Tiraspol and the priorities of the country's reintegration policy were discussed at a meeting in Chisinau between Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Serebryan and the chairman of the Polish Sejm's Foreign Affairs Committee, Pawel Kowal. Serebryan stressed the Chisinau authorities' willingness to promote the program of peaceful settlement of the Transnistrian conflict and to maintain a calm situation in the region. He also reiterated the commitment to promote Moldova's accession process to the European Union. The Polish diplomat welcomed the efforts for the peaceful restoration of Moldova's territorial integrity within the internationally recognized borders and expressed willingness to develop cooperation on issues of mutual interest.
