MAIB COMPLETES OFFER TO BUY BACK ITS SHARES FROM SHAREHOLDERS
The largest bank in Moldova - maib reported on Wednesday the completion of the offer to buy back its shares. According to the INFOTAG news agency, in information sent by the bank to shareholders, the bank said that “the offer to buy its own shares, launched on August 21, 2024, has been successfully completed.”

According to a special correspondent of the INFOTAG agency from the scene, the bank has allocated 757 million lei for the payment of dividends.

The administrative council and the management board of maib, Moldova's largest financial institution, will propose to the general annual meeting to allocate for dividends for 2021-2023. 757 million lei. One of the bank's shareholders told an INFOTAG correspondent that if this proposal is approved by the meeting on June 19, the bank will pay 7.30 lei per share of 2 lei par value.
MAIB SIGNS $30.8M LOAN AGREEMENT WITH IFC TO UNDERPIN MOLDOVAN SMEs
On Thursday, Moldova's largest financial institution - the maib bank signed a $30.8 million loan agreement with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the largest investment subdivision of the World Bank Group, for funding small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Moldova as well as businesses run by women. The Ministry of Finance placed at Tuesday's auction 906.25 million lei worth of government securities (GS), offering investors 1.58 billion lei in securities. The National Bank (NBM) told INFOTAG correspondent that the demand for the state securities from investors amounted to 1.36 billion lei.
