The head of the General Inspectorate of Police, Viorel Cernauteanu, has reminded about sanctions for wearing the St. George's ribbon. Individuals can be fined up to 9,000 lei, legal entities - up to 30,000 lei.

In the run-up to the upcoming Victory Day celebrations, he urged citizens to observe "during the events the provisions of the law "On Assemblies."
